a yellow cover of a book

The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran

I found this book over 15 years ago and still refer to it whenever the need calls.

It certainly is a classic masterpiece by Kahlil Gibran written back in 1923 and still contains such powerful insights through its collection of essays and stories of life.

There is so much spiritual and philosophical advice that can only inspire you to greatness.

Enjoy the various good and not-so-good that life has to offer.

Although it is based on, his experience in life at the time, the profound wisdom one gains in life is priceless nevertheless.

This can certainly reach deep down to the heart and mind but one that will certainly give music to the soul in life.

I am positive this will be a book you will keep close to your heart and soul once read.

The Prophet is a must-read to understand more about inspiration and enlightenment.

With over 9 million copies that have been sold around the world, this must contain something worth reading about.

4) The Art of Happiness: A Handbook for Living by Dalai Lama XIV

The Art of Happiness by the Dali Lama

The Title” The Art of Happiness just shows exactly what the Dalai Lama is about

Remember the term “Laughter is the Best Medicine” Well His Holiness the Dalai Lama is just that and proof that by staying happy from within, you bring that happiness around you and as such the laughter you bring will add to the happiness of others around you.

This is why many people who are there during his presentation even for a short time come away leaving happy and finding contentment from within.

The main lesson here is to learn to keep that happiness and contentment within you on a long-lasting timeframe and that is what the book is about.

Here we have Eastern Spirituality combined with Western Psychology

With the Dali Lama presenting his spiritual views on life and then combined with Dr. Howard Cutler’s western perspective as a psychiatrist added insights are given to help the reader understand more about life and have to find that happiness and contentment we all seek.

This is a most valuable book that gives a greater understanding of the thinking and beliefs from both sides that one can benefit most from and blend their spirituality with modern-day living to the max.

You can heal your Life by Louise Hay

You Can Heal Your Life By Louise Hay

What can I say about Louise Hay, She is an Angel sent to us to help us understand more of our earthly issues that have created so much Dis-Stress with illness and suffering.

Louise’s understanding of the meaning behind our issues is of more value than many may realize.

Louise Hay’s Key Message

“If we are willing to do the mental work, almost anything can be healed.”

Louise explains how limiting beliefs and ideas are often the cause of illness, and how you can change your thinking…and improve the quality of your life.

Louise walks the talk and has shown that with her way of thinking and understanding of the issue faced you can overcome them by changing your perception of the way you think and feel.

So much so that she was able to cure her bout with cancer in the same way she has helped so many during her time in seminars, lectures, and within her books that are worldwide bestsellers.

The book You Can Heal Your Life is a valuable resource to have around you and will help once you start to change the way you think and act in life.

To put it in Louise Hay’s own words here is an excerpt from her book.

“What we give out, we get back, what we think about ourselves becomes the truth for us. I believe that everyone, myself included, is responsible for everything in our lives, the best and the worst. Every thought we think is creating our future, each one of us creates our experiences with our thoughts and feelings. The thoughts we think and the words we speak create our experience”.

If you have read books before on the Law of Attraction, or any other book that talks about our created thoughts you will find this will resonate with you even more.

To think her words were given before the book The Secret before The Law of Attraction came to be in this modern world and yet her profound wisdom continues to be included by many other spiritual teachers and lecturers to this day.

7) The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom by Miguel Ruiz

The Four Agreements By Miguel Ruiz powerful guide to personal freedom and a must read.

The Four Agreements by Miguel Ruiz

Another one of my favorite books to read.

Just knowing about the four agreements can give you a greater insight into helping you to deal with a life of true understanding, and happiness and give you a new sense of Freedom and love deep within your soul.

Think about it:

Be Impeccable With Your Word
Don’t Take Anything Personally
Don’t Make Assumptions
Always Do Your Best

How often have you lived with the opposite of what the Four Agreements have to offer?

Just the first agreement is the most important and considered as the most difficult for one to honor.

Are you applying the four agreements every day in your life or are you creating self-limiting beliefs that are restricting your Freedom and true way of life, as it should be?

Please if anything, grab this book it will add so much value to your life and to others.

In The Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz reveals the source of self-limiting beliefs that rob us of joy and create needless suffering.

Based on ancient Toltec wisdom, the Four Agreements offer a powerful code of conduct that can rapidly transform our lives to a new experience of freedom, true happiness, and love.

8) Living Buddha, Living Christ by Thich Nhat Hanh

Living Buddha Living Christ by Thich Nhat Hann

Living Buddha Living Christ by Thich Nhat Hann

Thich Nhat Hanh is no ordinary Buddhist as a so-called outsider to the beliefs and teaching of Christ has brought together with his knowledge of Budda a unique and true oneness both values have to offer.

In his own words “On the altar in my hermitage are images of Buddha and Jesus and I touch both of them as my spiritual ancestors”.

How powerful is that?

He knows the wisdom and understanding of both Budda and Christ have given in their teachings and as a result, the respect he gives by combining compassion, love, and holiness of what both have to offer.

Another saying is “When you are a truly Happy Christian, you are also a Buddhist, and vice versa”

You see it is not about any religion he is talking about but the spiritual lessons both have to offer that as one we are all connected to the great divine of All That IS, which is the Divinity of Love of which we all are.

10) Dark Night of the Soul: Out of the Darkness and Into the Light by Michael Mirdad (Author)

The Dark Night of the Soul by Michael Mirdad

The Dark Night of the Soul by Michael Mirdad

Michael Mirdad is a Spiritual Counsellor, Metaphysical Teacher, Healer, and  Author.

Currently, he is the spiritual leader at the Unity of Sedona in Arizona where he teaches many topics and beliefs and has a unique way of combining various beliefs that are back in focus with God and helping one to get back into the Christ Consciousness of who you are.

He has written many best sellers and his book released in February 2019, The Dark Night of the Soul is no different.

Here he focuses on helping you understand that we all go through what he terms, The Dark Night where we face those lost moments, the confusion, exhaustion, and even at times betrayal.

But know that through this stage we face at times all is not lost as this is the stage where we can find the areas we need healing the most that can be released and by doing so find the light at the end of the tunnel we so desire to be in.

He explains how to surrender to life’s healing ways and to help you become the more evolved spirit that you are.

Lightworker

Have you heard of the term “Lightworker?” Michael presented the term. One that has become one of the most popular used terms today.

Michael Mirdad is also known as a Teachers Teacher, The Healers Healer and is focused on helping others at their deepest level so they can be connected back to the source of God and to be in the Christ Consciousness so we can live a life in the light and not continue living in the Dark Night of the Soul.

If you have never heard of Michael Mirdad you can find him on YouTube where you can catch up with the so many inspirational teachings he presented many times during his service at the Unity of Sedona along with many more thoughts and views that he shares and even a joke or two as well.

This is how I got to know of him via YouTube when I was looking for something else on Spirituality and he kept coming in my searches.

Up to this day, I regularly watch the teachings he presents and I am in awe of the knowledge and wisdom he gives to others.

You will find why he is the wonderful soul that he is and what’s more, he is modest, caring, and enjoys a smile or two as well.

Michael is a very grounded person but not one to gloat about his expertise and he gives credit to the source of his knowledge of a higher authority from whom his wisdom comes.

That is why I highly recommend this book, which will help take you out of the Dark Night of the Soul and back into the light of who you are.

I hope these books will help to expand and boost your spiritual awareness for your highest good. I have some added books you can check out here
